For Parents

I started Meeting of the Minds because, as a college professor, I was frustrated at seeing the same tragedy year after year – a large number of students underperforming in their classes, losing confidence, and eventually leaving or being forced to leave school with no degree and tens of thousands of dollars of debt.

In many cases, these students were smart and eager; yet, they struggled to adapt to the college environment. For some, the issue was that they were not at the college that fit their needs and learning styles. For others, the issue was that they had no one readily available to help them develop the time management and study skills necessary to succeed in the college classroom.

Meeting of the Minds offers services to address each of these situations. Whether your son or daughter is a high school student who needs college admissions consulting or is new or current college student who needs academic coaching, I am here to help. I will provide the one-on-one mentoring that he or she needs to reach his or her goals.

The cost for my services is modest considering the amount you and your son or daughter will pay or are paying in tuition, fees, and room & board. Meeting with me one hour per week for one year costs less that 1/10th of the in-state price at CU-Boulder and less than 1/20th of the out-of-state price.

Contact me today for a free one-hour initial meeting so that I can find out more about you and your son’s or daughter’s needs and goals and explain how I can help.
